Materials: powder-coated metal, HR foam, fabric
Dim: W=655 mm, D=593 mm, H=850 mm
I designed the Tuki chair for the Lulu Space brand. My task was to create a chair that would stand out from the typical metal-based chairs on the market. The requirement was to use a steel base and minimise the use of curves to simplify the manufacturing process.
The frame is made of clean, straight metal lines, which simplifies production and gives the chair a modern, structured look. The armrests add softness, making the piece more comfortable. A subtle horizontal decorative indentation on the backrest emphasises the chair’s elegant appearance.
This project showcases my approach to furniture design, which involves seeking a simple structure and adding individuality through form.
